• 1) Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

  My first computer was a Windows 98 machine with just 256 MB of RAM back in 2001. We had to share it between siblings and honestly I mostly just played games on it. FIFA 99 and a game called Oni were my favourites. Simple times!

• 2) What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

  For me it's 3D printing and what makes it even better is that it's now actually affordable. The real turning point will be when it becomes a household thing, where people can print custom items at home as easily as they shop online. That could completely change how we think about buying stuff and even sustainability.

• 3) Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

  My expertise is 3D modelling, 3D printing and CNC machining. What I love most is the full journey, taking an idea, building it in software, then holding something physical in your hands. That never gets old. I've been modelling since 2014 and tutoring since 2016, covering product design, floor plans, technical drawings and printing functional parts. It sits right at the heart of modern digital manufacturing and it's only growing.

• 4) Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?

  Steve Jobs genuinely inspires me, his obsession with design and simplicity is something I relate to. I also admire Jeff Bezos for completely reimagining logistics in a way that wouldn't have been possible without computers. And my list wouldn't be complete without mentioning Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), whose values around integrity and perseverance guide me in everything I do.

• 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  I told my mum about 3D printing and she got really excited until she found out it wasn't instant like printing a document. Her enthusiasm dropped fast! But it gave me a great chance to explain that 3D printing is really about rapid prototyping, turning ideas into something you can actually hold and test.

• 6) What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

  IT is huge, nobody knows all of it and nobody needs to. Pick one or two areas that interest you, focus there, and build real confidence. Once you do that, the rest feels a lot less scary.

• 7) What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

  I'm a big football fan and follow it closely. I also like staying on top of current affairs, I enjoy a good debate about where the world is heading.

• 8) What makes you a Superprof in IT?

  It's the mix of hands-on experience and being able to explain things clearly. I've been using Autodesk Fusion and 3D modelling and manufacturing tools for over ten years and tutoring since 2016. I don't just talk about concepts, I actually build things, and I bring that into every session.
