About Daisy
I have a great passion for both Math and Computer Science, and would love to tutor you in these areas. I have just completed my Undergraduate Degree in Mathematics (specialisation Statistics) and Computing Science (specialisation Machine Learning) at Melbourne University. For the past few years, I have tutored kids in both fields. My approach it to focus on developing the student’s mastery of the subject through problem based learning, including preparation for exams, while developing the student’s enjoyment of the subject and
ability to learn by themselves.In my sessions I will go through difficult problems with the student, and get them to explain to me how they would approach such a problem. I also set them additional homework, and do timed arithmetic if they have forthcoming assessment. This style of approach has proven to be extremely effective in my previous classes, in fact some students were seen to jump two grades in just half a year.
