About Anika
I am a school leaver from a top independent North London school, where I completed my A levels in Mathematics (A*), Biology (A*) and Chemistry (A). I love learning and have realised that I also have a strong passion for teaching. To me, being a tutor is highly rewarding as I have watched students grow in confidence and start to enjoy the subjects they never thought they could. Having recently finished school, I am very familiar and up to date with GCSE and A level specifications, and I know the best tips and tricks for achieving those top grades! Furthermore, having two years experience as a private tutor in maths and biology, I know I have the skills to help my students achieve exam success. My aim is to provide a supportive environment for my students to flourish, in which they feel comfortable and encouraged to push themselves and work to the best of their abilities.
After first meeting with parents and the student, I usually give a small assessment lesson to gauge what sort of level they are currently at and identify their strengths and weaknesses. From then on, I provide individualised lessons to match the student’s needs and I work alongside the framework of their school curriculum. I can provide face-to-face lessons as well as online Zoom lessons, depending on your preference.
