About Christopher
I have a passion for helping others succeed, to be responsible for the "aha!" moments as a concept clicks, to know that the smiles on results day are because I have made an impact. I started as a Scouts leader in university, before taking the natural step into the classroom once I graduated, completing the classroom-focused SCITT teacher training programme, run by Birmingham City University. I completed my NQT year with the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership, a highly successful trust. From there, I have taught in several schools around the Midlands area and have taught a huge variety of students from different backgrounds, including those with SEN such as ADHD and Autism. I truly found my calling with teaching and have never looked back.

I am a fully qualified teacher with QTS in Computer Science and a degree in ICT from Birmingham City University. As a full-time teacher for 8 years, my approach has always been student-focused, identifying students' key areas of strength and weakness within the curriculum with targeted questioning and assessment, using an "I do, We do, You do" method of teaching, modelling concepts to the student to ensure students master lesson content and key skills. I employ Rosenshine's principles within my lessons and ensure that students are challenged appropriately, building their confidence as they approach more and more challenging concepts. Lessons are typically an hour in length, though longer sessions are available upon request. I can deliver lessons to both an A-Level and GCSE standard.
