About Rebecca
I am a passionate, fully qualified English teacher.
I have a genuine love for the subject of English, which has enabled me to gain significant subject knowledge in order to aid your learning.
I write outside of school too, which I think is very important as a teacher- English skills are not just applicable to the classroom!
I want to inspire the writers of the future, as I was inspired by my own teachers.
I am currently employed as a Teacher of Drama and English at a school in Nottingham, so you can be assured that my standard of teaching is professional.
As I teach Drama also, I love to add this into my teaching of English to make my lessons engaging.
All certification of my degree, QTS and PGCE can be provided.

Much of my methodology is based upon Rosenshine's principles, and my lessons follow the research of EEF (Education Endowment Foundation).
A typical lesson would last an hour; however, 2 hour lessons allow for more in depth practice and feedback, especially at GCSE and A level.
I am a secondary teacher, with my age range being from 11-18, however, I am able to teach students in Year 6 in preparation for their Year 7 transition.
