About Sheyi
I have a passion for ensuring that inequality in all its forms is addressed. There are a plethora of reasons for why a student might not be achieving the results that they deserve, from systemic racism to ineffective teaching during the pandemic. These are factors outside of the student’s control and it is wrong that elements such as these can impact the trajectory of a student’s educational journey.
I am committed to exploring what will underpin a student’s academic and professional development by equipping students with the tools they need to be autonomous and self-reflective in their learning.

Lessons will be person centred and directed.
An initial assessment will be completed to identify areas of improvement in line with related syllabus of the pupil’s choice.
Lessons can be focused on completing homework tasks to the highest calibre or challenging pupils to develop advanced skills in literary analysis and/or creative writing in their own areas of interest.
Alternatively, lessons can be based on established a good foundation in literacy, grammar, reading and writing for SEND and IELTS pupils.
All lessons will have the underlying theme of maximising performance in exam results using techniques customised to the learning style of the pupil.
Regular formative (informal) assessments will be completed to track progress.
Lessons will be integrative of all areas of the school syllabus to ensure content is processed holistic and in cohesion with other secondary school or related subjects.
