About Charlie
I'm a finance professional with over 7 years' experience in institutional investment management in London, spanning private equity, real estate, fund management, banking, and investor relations. I've worked on small, high-performing investment teams across the buy-side and sell-side, and I've sat on the other side of the table reviewing CVs and interviewing candidates for roles in the industry.
I tutor because I remember how opaque this industry felt when I was trying to break in, and how much of what actually gets you hired isn't taught at university. The candidates who land offers aren't always the most technically gifted. They're the ones who know how to walk into a room, talk credibly about markets and deals, handle pressure, and turn a CV line into a compelling story. That's what I help with.
My approach is direct and no-fluff. I'll tell you what's landing and what isn't, which most tutors won't.

I work with students and graduates targeting roles in investment banking, private equity, asset management, hedge funds, and credit. That includes spring week and summer internship applicants, graduate scheme candidates, career switchers coming in from consulting or accounting, and anyone with a final-round interview coming up who wants to sharpen their delivery.
What we cover:
- Behavioural and competency interviews, including the "tell me about yourself", "why this firm", and "walk me through your CV" questions that decide most outcomes
- Technical interview prep covering accounting, valuation, markets, and deal mechanics, pitched at the level the interviewer will actually ask
- Stock pitches, deal discussions, and "tell me about a recent transaction" prep
- Case studies and market-based questions
- CV and cover letter reviews tailored to front-office finance roles
- Mock interviews with honest, detailed feedback
- Practical career strategy, from where to apply to how to position yourself and how to network in
