About Vraj
Hey I am Vraj. I'm a dedicated and approachable tutor with a genuine passion for helping students build confidence in Maths. I hold an A-level in Mathematics and have over five years of experience in leadership, training, and coaching roles within fast-paced retail and hospitality environments, where I've regularly supported and mentored team members to develop new skills. This experience has given me strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to explain things clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
I'm currently studying for an MSc in Human Resource Management, which has further developed my understanding of how people learn and grow, and I bring that same supportive, structured approach to tutoring. I believe every student can succeed in Maths with the right guidance, encouragement, and practice, and I'm committed to creating a positive, pressure-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.

My teaching approach is built around breaking down topics into small, manageable steps and checking understanding before moving on, so students never feel left behind. I use a mix of clear explanations, worked examples, and plenty of practice questions, with regular recap of previous topics to build long-term confidence rather than just short-term memorisation. I adapt my pace and explanations to suit each student's learning style, using visual aids, real-life examples, and step-by-step problem-solving for topics like algebra, fractions, ratios, and statistics.
Lessons typically last 1 hour, which gives enough time to review homework or previous topics, work through new concepts, and practice independently with support. Sessions can be adjusted to 45 minutes or extended for exam-focused revision, depending on the student's needs.
I hold an A-level in Mathematics and have several years of experience training, coaching, and mentoring individuals in fast-paced work environments, which has helped me develop strong communication skills and patience when explaining concepts to people at different levels.
My lessons are aimed at Primary and KS3 students, as well as those working towards GCSE Maths, covering topics such as number, algebra, ratio and proportion, geometry, and an introduction to statistics. I'm happy to support students who need extra help keeping up with the curriculum, those preparing for assessments or exams, or anyone looking to build a stronger foundation in core Maths skills.
