Flexible, engaging lessons. I will ask what you most want to use English for, and what you want to practise most. Then, I plan lessons around that. I want students to enjoy learning English, and to not worry about mistakes. Mistakes are how we learn!
My specialty is teaching children, but I teach ALL ages from 6 years old to adult. Lessons are completely in English, so a basic English understanding in necessary.
I have a TESOL certificate, a Graduate Diploma in Primary Education, and a Bachelor's Degree in Communication. I have taught English since 2015, in Australia and overseas.
If you have your own textbook, I'm happy for us to work through the textbook together. If not, that's okay. I have my own lesson plans and activities.
If you come from a family where English is not the first language, but your child goes to an English-speaking school, I can help your child with their English development. I can also help with their English homework.
Lessons have a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Ideal for students who want to become more confident using English in their daily lives.

I was looking for a tutor for my son who had difficulties in learning English and being an ESL student at primary school he needed that extra support when he started year 7. When I found Kate as a tutor for my son, his learning abilities changed in year 7. Kate is very gentle and teaches in a creative way that my son enjoys having Kate as his tutor. I would recommend Kate for English tutoring. She is a wonderful person and I am also very pleased that my son's grades have improved so far.
