About Sarah
I have always had a passion for English and studied it until A-Level. I chose another career initially but it did not fulfill me. I moved to Vietnam in 2017 where I taught English at both public schools and private language centres. I did this for almost a year and have been an online English tutor for almost a year, since I returned to the UK. I feel that teaching English to students who speak a different language has really helped me develop as a teacher. I will be joining Teach First later this year to train as a Secondary English Teacher.
My degree is in Medical Science and I love Biology so I would be happy to tutor in this subject too.

I believe that every student has potential, but this can be hard to achieve in a classroom environment. Through private tutoring I am able to tailor lessons to each student's needs; we all learn in different ways. I am experienced in teaching children from 3 - 16 years old but I am comfortable teaching any age. My lessons are well structured but there is always room for expanding on the topic we are studying. I have taught both language and literature and enjoy both of these. I am an avid reader and writer and I feel that my passion for this comes across when I teach.
It is important for me that my students enjoy our lessons, as much as possible. Enjoyment is so important in learning. I am friendly and approachable but I have firm standards when it comes to behaviour and participation.
