About Antonia
Hi! I am Toni. I used to really struggle with maths as a kid, so I completely understand how frustrating it can feel when things don’t click. I took Kumon classes for three years, and with consistent practice, I slowly started to build my confidence—and eventually, I realised I actually enjoyed maths. Now, it comes naturally to me, and I love helping others get to that point too. In high school, I used to tutor my classmates, and I found a lot of joy in breaking things down in a way that made sense to them. That’s why I teach: to show others that maths can make sense—with the right support and a bit of patience

What to Expect from a Lesson with Me: My lessons are structured around a student-centred, step-by-step approach designed to build both understanding and confidence in basic maths and algebra. I use a three-phase method: Explore, Practice, and Reflect. 1. Explore: We begin by identifying the topic and gauging your current level through a quick warm-up or discussion. I break down concepts into clear, manageable parts, using visual aids, analogies, and real-world examples to help make abstract ideas more concrete. 2. Practice: Together, we’ll work through carefully chosen problems that increase in difficulty. I use guided problem-solving to model the process, then gradually hand over the reins, encouraging independent thinking. Mistakes are welcomed as learning tools, and I always adjust the pace based on your comfort level. 3. Reflect: At the end of each lesson, we review key points and work through any areas of confusion. I also give a mini “takeaway challenge” to keep you engaged between sessions and reinforce learning. Progress is tracked so you can see how far you’ve come and stay motivated. My goal is not just to help you get the right answers, but to truly understand why they’re right—and to feel confident getting there on your own
