I offer a calm, supportive approach to tutoring, focusing on helping students feel comfortable and confident in their learning. I prepare carefully for each lesson and adapt my pace to suit the individual student.

My approach is supportive, structured, and focused on helping students understand rather than memorise. I believe many students struggle not because they can’t do the work, but because they haven’t had the chance to slow down and really make sense of it.
I am patient, calm, and flexible in my teaching style, and I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable saying “I don’t get it”.
Techniques and methodology
- Step-by-step explanations using simple language
- Guided practice rather than passive listening
- Homework support and exam-style questions when appropriate
Lessons are adapted to the student’s school curriculum and current needs.
Typical lessons last 60 minutes, but shorter sessions (45 minutes) can be arranged for younger students.
I have practical experience supporting learning through homeschooling my own children across KS1, KS2, and KS3. This has given me a good understanding of the school curriculum, common learning difficulties, and how to adapt explanations to different ages and abilities.
I am patient, organised, and careful to prepare lessons that match the student’s level and pace. While I am not a qualified teacher, I take tutoring seriously and focus on helping students build understanding and confidence step by step.
