About Sabrina
I am a first year PhD student at Oxford. I was inspired by my chemistry teacher at school that thorough understanding is key to learning and outstanding performance. I personally find that exams become very easy once you really engage with the content. Through my teaching experience I find it enjoyable to pass on little studying tricks or alternatively aspects in understanding a topic which I discovered, which I wish someone had taught me when I was learning that could make it a lot easier. And being a sympathetic person I genuinely hope to help each student improve and appreciate the subject(s).

I understand that communication is key to teaching. I always check with the student if they have understood by using actual exam questions, and I will also check if I am going at the right pace to adjust my teaching. I design lessons specific to each student's personal learning so that they get the most out of them and to achieve their goals. I believe preparation is key to good content delivery hence I would prepare the notes in advance as well as practice questions to do together in the lessons and for homework. Sometimes I write my own notes for the student if I feel necessary. My past teaching experience has improved students' grades to A*.
