I've had a successful career in design an art that spanned fifteen years. I like to think that deep experience in design thinking gives me a fresh approach to developing empathy and working with people.

For lesson plans, I lean on excellent teaching materials from a local library's ESL center and can comfortably adapt my style to work with children and adults.
A typical lesson plan will have a theme and be broken into components. These may be: discussing pictures around a theme, listening to spoken English and answering questions about what was said, a focus on studying a topic in grammar, practicing this grammar topic in writing exercises, practicing communicating orally using the fresh grammar topic, reading a short article around the lesson's big theme, checking understanding of the reading, and building vocabulary by looking up key words from it and their definitions, synonyms and antonyms. There may also be a prompt to write around the main topic, check the writing, and share it.
