About Joan-Sophie
Hi, I’m Joan-Sophie! I offer friendly, supportive English lessons for ESL learners and international students.
Having learnt English as a second language myself and now working fully in English in a professional legal environment, I understand the challenges of building confidence and communicating clearly. I take a patient and practical approach, helping you improve your English in a way that feels comfortable and achievable.
Alongside my work as a paralegal, I use English every day for writing, analysis, and professional communication. I also have extensive experience writing essays and dissertations at university level (in law and psychology), so I can support you not only with everyday English, but also with academic and professional writing.

I create a supportive and patient learning environment, especially for students who feel nervous using English. Having learnt English as a second language myself, I tailor lessons to your needs.

Lessons are adapted to your goals, whether improving fluency, preparing for university, or developing writing skills.

While new to formal tutoring, I have a strong personal understanding of learning English as a second language and now work fully in English in professional and academic settings.
