About Sian
I am currently taking a year out after finishing my A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Philosophy and I achieved A*A*AA respectively. At GCSE I achieved grade 9 in Maths and grade A* in Physics with 9 x A*s and 2 x As overall. I have been giving lessons since 2016 when I was in Year 11 and have taught 3 GCSE students in both Maths and Physics. I also tutor A-Level maths students. I plan to go to university in September 2020 to study Mathematics.

I really love making complex concepts understandable to each student. Getting to know the student's strengths and weaknesses is the key for me to tailor each topic to you, the student. I have patience in bucketloads and will not stop to ensure my student is comfortable and confident with their understanding so they can apply their knowledge independently. I typically take the logic of the topic and explain it in a real life situation so that it becomes more accessible and easier to remember. Studying these subjects at A-Level has allowed my knowledge of the subjects to be in-depth and thorough, and I find great satisfaction in helping others feel the same way!

I can highly recommend Sian, she has given maths lessons to my two daughter over the last 2 years and has helped them develop a real understanding of the GCSE syllabus. They’re very different learners but she easily managed to tune in to their individual needs. My girls were both enthusiastic about their lessons with Sian ( which I couldn’t quite believe). I’m sure that Sian is the reason they went into their exams feeling confident.
