About Lucy
I am currently a student at sixth form, studying my A levels. I have 8 GCSE’S, ranging from grades B to A*. I am excited to start a career as a primary school teacher and hope to start my teaching journey by tutoring primary students.

My lessons will have a friendly and stress-free atmosphere, ensuring that the student feels comfortable to ask questions and enjoy the lessons. My teaching method involves getting to know my student and the way that they learn in order to ensure that I can help them efficiently. For example, is the student a visual or auditory learner? I will adapt the learning experience according to this. My lesson structure will include a short discussion at the beginning, outlining what the student is having troubles with and what topics need to be addressed throughout the lesson. From there, I will begin to thoroughly explain the topic to the student and ensure to engage and ask them questions to make learning both effective and enjoyable. Once the student feels confident with the subject, we will work on completing the school work that they have been set for this topic, as well as extra activities to ensure that they are confident moving forward. The lesson will finish with another short discussion summarising their understanding of the work covered, as well as a friendly chat to get to know each other further and to build a comfortable, trusted teacher and student relationship. During the pandemic, I am looking to do online tutoring the provide help for students that may be struggling with online school lessons and need some extra support.
