About Katie
I am a confident and patient person with a love for teaching. Being a woman in STEM I believe it is important for students to be taught by inspiring women.
I have been personally taught by some of the most impressive professors in the world whilst studying Neuroscience at UCL, so I am well aware of the importance of interesting and approachable teachers.
My knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Maths is deep and well-rounded, and I am able to translate complicated theories into simple bite-sized chunks. Also, I have previously trained as a portrait painter in an atelier in Florence, so I am always able to tackle problems from a creative perspective.
I am currently working in a prestigious pain laboratory, so not only can I teach facts, but methods too.

I will deliver personalised teaching for GCSE or A-Level students studying Biology, Chemistry or Maths. Together we can decide our plan of action: either by using my classes to build upon topics covered in school, or following our own schedule to get all areas covered for top marks in your exams. I am currently studying Neuroscience, therefore I am in a very good position to teach what is needed for GCSE/A-Level subjects, but also to inspire learning outside of the mark scheme to build interest for university applications. Together we can target areas you are least confident in using live worked examples during 1-hour online lessons (or in-person if you are based in North London).

Katie acheived an A* at GCSE and again at A Level in all the sciences plus Maths. She's now at UCL studying Neuroscience. She's also a portrait artist - she studied at a famous art school in Florence for a year.
