About Dana
Hello! My name is Dana and I'm excited you're here, ready to grow in your abilities! A few fun facts about me: I like to rock climb, read, learn new languages, and I have quite an international background as I have lived in the US, Germany, and South Korea, and have traveled to 19 countries across five continents. I am excited to learn more about people from all over the world, and to help you gain the English skills necessary to achieve your goals!
I have been an English as a Second Language tutor for six years, during which I created many worksheets and plans, played many games, and had many interesting conversations with my clients. I look forward to meeting with you, helping you progress, and having fun while doing so!

I tailor my lessons to the needs of my client. I do this by first determining areas of improvement either through conversation or written work produced by the client, and then I create lesson plans: worksheets, activities, etc. aimed to advance the client's abilities in these areas. Often, I set small homework assignments, almost always a written task, so that we can work through the client's writing in the next lesson, where I determine which areas to improve and explain any mistakes the client might have made. I like to balance work with (educational) fun in each lesson, so there will often be a mix of worksheets and games or reading time.
I mostly work with children/young adults though I am open to working with any age. English is my native language, though I also speak German, some Spanish, and a bit of French and Swahili.
