About Eve
I have now been working as a tutor alongside completing my Medical degree for over a year. I have experience teaching individuals aged 8-16 in both Maths and Science. I am passionate about Maths and the Sciences and this is conveyed in my lessons, as I strive to help others enjoy these (often challenging!) subjects like I do. My lessons are based on addressing topics through answering questions together, and covering any gaps in the students’ knowledge in an engaging way. I create a comfortable environment in which my students feel confident to ask their questions, as we explore the topics they would like to cover. I ensure that my students have a thorough understanding of the topic before moving onto relevant exam questions, which allows them to apply and consolidate their learning. I am currently in my third year studying Medicine at University College London, and can help students with medical school applications. Eve has a detailed knowledge of her students and selects teaching strategies that improve their learning. These strategies were highly effective in engaging all students during a whole-class teaching and learning setting. Eve plans and adjusts her lessons to accommodate various learning needs of students. Her teaching strategies include a sound balance of teacher-directed and student-centred learning.
Eve is problem solver, easily identifying and proposing solutions to any road bumps in her teaching. She is also great at staying on task. More than once, she’s guided the student group back to right track.
