About Emery
Teaching exists because language connects people to new realities. A student sits across from me and struggles with the subtle difference between nasal sounds.
My MMus Music Performance from Berklee College of Music informs how I approach the cadence of French speech. I have spent 5 years refining my ability to explain grammar and liaison in plain terms for intermediate and advanced learners. Hobbyists appreciate how I break down complex structures into functional pieces for travel or business contexts.
Listening practice becomes an analytical exercise rather than a guessing game. It is a slow, methodical path toward fluency.

First sessions often feel like a total blur. I admit that learning a new language is never easy. We look at cultural context and everyday phrases to give your study immediate practical application. My approach remains grounded in the same discipline I used to earn my degree.
I track your progress through specific milestones to ensure we are covering the necessary ground for your goals. We work on your pronunciation until it feels natural. Does your current study method offer this level of technical clarity?
