About Jasper
I’m a French tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Master of Arts in French Language and Literature, with a special focus on Francophone cultures. I love working with complete beginners and helping them feel relaxed and curious as they explore a new language. My approach is patient, lighthearted, and designed to make learning enjoyable from the start. I specialize in teaching French through creative hobbies and everyday passions like knitting, gardening, or painting. We use project-based lessons that connect vocabulary and grammar to your favorite activities. Whether it’s labeling your tools, following a French gardening blog, or describing a painting, we keep the learning fun and practical. I also use simple visual aids, real-life examples, and stories that match your interests. Students quickly gain the confidence to talk about what they love—in French! My lessons are interactive and always shaped around your pace and goals. It’s a joy to watch students light up when they realize they can share their hobbies in a new language. If you’re looking for a playful, friendly way to start learning French, I’d love to guide you. Let’s discover how your favorite pastimes can bring French to life!

My French teaching approach is interactive, creative, and rooted in meaningful communication. I specialize in helping students talk about art, history, and culture with clarity and confidence. Lessons often include describing artworks, discussing historical events, and expressing personal thoughts about aesthetics.
We use visual prompts, cultural readings, and audio clips from museums and historical documentaries to bring the language to life. I guide learners step-by-step in building vocabulary that fits their interests, especially in art and heritage topics. We work on pronunciation, sentence structure, and fluency through engaging speaking and writing exercises.
My students develop strong descriptive language and the ability to hold thoughtful conversations about French history and visual culture. I’m especially effective with learners who want to connect with France’s cultural identity or explore their own heritage. Each lesson blends structure with spontaneity to keep the learning experience fresh and inspiring.
I also use role-plays and real-world scenarios, like museum visits or heritage tours, to prepare students for meaningful interaction in French-speaking environments. Whether you're planning a trip, preparing for study, or deepening your cultural knowledge, I make sure your French grows with purpose. We'll explore France's rich heritage—one phrase, one story at a time.
