About Serena
I am a half-french, half-canadian student, and I just arrived in Montreal to study in Mcgill University. I am double majoring in political science and in East Asian studies, and minoring in economics. Music is my passion. I have been playing the violin for about 13 years, including 11 years in a conservatory in Paris, and it has taken a very important place in my life since a few years. I have a music diploma called "certificat d'étude musicale" that I obtained last year in Paris, which represents basically the end of the "amateur" program in the conservatory. I have also learned music theory ("solfège") in the conservatory for 8 years and I have given music theory lessons to a few kids from my conservatory who needed help.

The violin is certainly not an easy instrument. It often takes a few years to attain a good sound and a good intonation which is why I believe so many beginners abandon the violin. I will thus try to focus on that, but without forgetting the other technical elements essential to learn the violin. I obviously always adapt to the student in front of me. The only thing that will always remain constant will be my desire to transmit to you/or to your child, my passion for music !
