About Maxine
I am a first year student at King’s College London. Being surrounded by international peers and friends most of the time, we often share some words or phrases in our native languages. By doing that I realised it would be a nice experience to be able to share my knowledge and my familiarity with the language with others who might need a more informal approach to learning that one would receive in school. Mastering grammatical structures, and being able to write essays is important, but engaging with a French speaker can help boost learning.

As a native speaker, who grew up in a French speaking household, I have a familiar approach to teaching. I have helped my younger brother with grammatical exercises, but most importantly my English-speaking friends and peers studying French for GCSEs and A-levels in both their school work but also in more informal manners, so that they could use their knowledge in proper French conversations, by giving them tips on how to communicate more informally or formally depending on the situation.
