My name is Dorota Ostrowska. I am a senior lecturer in film and modern media at Birkbeck, University of London. I teach on the MA Film and Screen Media. I met Pauline last academic year (2021-2022) when she was a full-time student on this MA. She took the optional module I taught, Film Festivals. I also supervised her work placement at Rio Cinema in London. Pauline was a very nice student to have. She is very intelligent, curious and creative. She has the ability to think deeply about problems and issues, to identify their complexities, and to engage with them critically.
