About Lena
My passion for French began with fascination for how language carries culture, history, and identity. I earned a B.A. in French Linguistics and later an M.A. in Francophone Cultural Studies, which gave me both technical expertise and deep cultural understanding. Over the past 12 years, I have guided students toward confident French communication through warm, structured, and encouraging teaching.
I believe language learning should feel welcoming rather than intimidating. My teaching style focuses on clarity, patience, and helping learners understand the logic behind grammar while also practicing real conversation. Each student receives personalized guidance based on their goals, whether they are travelers, newcomers, hobby learners, or academic students.
Outside teaching, I stay connected to French through literature study, cultural research, and ongoing exploration of modern Francophone media. Teaching is meaningful because I witness students transform from hesitation into confident speakers who enjoy expressing themselves freely. Supporting learners in building a new voice in French is at the heart of my work.

French becomes much easier and more enjoyable when learners feel that the language is alive, practical, and connected to real situations. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in listening comprehension, pronunciation, grammar clarity, and natural conversation through structured and supportive guidance. I help students feel comfortable speaking step by step, so confidence grows steadily with every session.
Beginners start with essential verb conjugations, sentence-building patterns, and everyday vocabulary that supports immediate communication. Intermediate learners strengthen speaking flow, idiomatic expressions, reading comprehension, and writing structure through guided exercises and interactive practice. Advanced students refine academic fluency, nuanced expression, exam preparation, and professional communication skills with detailed feedback. I also use audio sources, roleplay scenarios, and cultural discussions to make learning engaging and memorable.
French lessons also help students grow personally by developing courage, consistency, and communication confidence. Many learners find joy in expressing themselves in a new language and connecting with French culture. Over time, students become more fluent, relaxed, and proud of their progress. My goal is to help every learner feel supported, motivated, and capable of speaking French with ease.
