About Monet
Hi, I’m Monet, a passionate and approachable education student who genuinely loves helping students reach their highest potential. I believe learning should feel supportive, encouraging, and achievable, and I strive to create an environment where students feel confident to ask questions and grow. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Education and have hands-on experience working in schools as a Teacher Aide, Boarding Supervisor, and Library Assistant. These roles have allowed me to support students across a range of abilities, including those with learning difficulties and students learning English as an additional language. Through this experience, I have developed a strong understanding of how to adapt teaching to suit individual learning needs. I am known for being bubbly, patient, and organized, while maintaining a professional and structured approach to learning. I take pride in breaking down complex tasks into clear, manageable steps and helping students build both skills and confidence over time. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to empower them to become independent, motivated learners.

My approach to tutoring is centred on individualised learning and building student confidence through clear, structured support. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to identify each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning goals before tailoring lessons to suit their needs.
For assignment-based learning, I break tasks down into manageable steps and explicitly teach the skills required for each component. This may include analysing task requirements, planning responses, developing ideas, improving structure, and refining written expression. By unpacking expectations and modelling strategies, students gain a clearer understanding of how to approach their work independently and successfully.
My teaching methodology combines explicit instruction, guided practice, and ongoing feedback. I aim to create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills at their own pace. I also incorporate organisational and study strategies to help students feel more confident and prepared for assessments.
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, allowing sufficient time to review progress, introduce new concepts, and practise skills without students feeling overwhelmed. Shorter or longer sessions can be adapted depending on the student’s age and learning needs.
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Education and have classroom experience as a Teacher Aide, supporting students with learning difficulties and English as an Additional Language. I have also worked as a Library Assistant in a school setting, assisting students with research, literacy, and independent learning skills. These experiences have strengthened my ability to adapt instruction, explain concepts clearly, and support students in a structured yet encouraging way.
My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary school students, particularly those who benefit from personalised support in English, literacy, assignment writing, study skills, and organisation. I am especially passionate about helping students build confidence, independence, and a positive relationship with learning.
