About Karen
I completed my Ph.D. in Mathematics at UChicago and have been tutoring for 6 years. I also lectured in undergraduate courses and created online video resources to supplement learning. I’m available for weekday and weekend sessions, both in-person near campus and online. I also lead occasional math workshops for local community centers to help adult learners.

I begin with diagnostic assessments in algebra and geometry, then progress through pre-calculus, calculus, and introductory linear algebra. I use visual and interactive tools (Mathematica, GeoGebra) to clarify concepts and apply math to real-world contexts such as data science and finance. For calculus and statics, we emphasize conceptual understanding through graphical interpretations and rigorous problem solving.
