About Jan
I studied Chemistry and Management studies at the University of Nottingham and since then have been working in professional occupations relating to personal taxes and now I am an HR professional working with international assignments. Explaining complex things in simple terms is part of my day-to-day role and this is a skill that I try and adapt to my tutorials.
Aside from my day-to-day job I have previously volunteered with the Access Project which offers tutorials to students who may not be able to afford private tuition. I have been working with the Access Project for over 3 years.

I normally adapt the teaching approach and lessons based on students' ability and their learning style. We can also tackle past exam papers and exam technique in preparation for GCSE and A Levels.
There are equally lots of ways that many problems can be tackled, some of which can be slightly different from the "standard" one size fits all method taught in class, so if preferred, we can incorporate these into tutorials as alternatives that can help build the logic and the understanding.
