-As an educational psychologist with expertise in mathematics education and advanced statistical training, I apply a constructivist approach to systematically build students' comfort levels and competencies step-by-step under a supportive structure.
-What sets me apart as a math tutor is my previous experience tutoring and serving as co-instructor for gifted middle and high schoolers participating in summer and weekend programs for gifted and talented youths through the Duke Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP) and my 7 years of university teaching experience.
-In addition to a doctoral degree, I also have a professional business degree (EMBA) that well-positioned me to teach applied math concepts (e.g., financial ratios, retail math, spreadsheets, statistical packages).
-Lessons are primarily for middle to high schoolers but can also be adapted to introductory college-level courses.
