Hello! I recently moved to Christchurch from the US after teaching Math and Chemistry IB DP/MYP level for 11 years. I firmly believe that having a safe, supportive environment fosters learning and grows confidence. I believe in holistic tutoring, identifying areas of focus, and giving the learning tools for both in the classroom and resources outside. I tailor each session to meet the needs and goals of the student, and have taught all levels and abilities of students from 7th to 12th grade. I have a BS in Chemistry from the University of Oregon and have a teaching certificate in my state of Oregon. I taught IB Chemistry and more recently Math at the high and middle school levels. Depending on student, 45-60 minute sessions are typical.
