About Kelly
Hello! My name is Kelly. While I love reading and writing, I know that not all students do, and many struggle.
I have 16 years of teaching experience and helping students become more confident and comfortable with reading and writing. My research and work have taught me that students, even those that are far behind, can make great strides with one-on-one tutoring, support, and choice learning. I am excited to help students of all ages meet their goals with reading, becoming comfortable with the writing process, and even enjoying reading for pleasure.

Reading and writing can be overwhelming for reluctant readers, especially once you get behind. Let's work together to create tasks that are manageable and allow you to feel confident and successful.
Reading lessons will start with a quick assessment of your current levels of fluency and comprehension, as needed. From there, we will move forward with lessons that are as customized as you need them to be. We will either address your skills overall, or focus on your class assignments.
My schedule is flexible to fit yours. Tutoring lessons will be created for your level and purpose, specifically for grades K-12 classes, or adult literacy. Together we will establish goals that are specific and attainable.
Your improvement and confidence will always be my goal.
