About Mallory
The two years we homeschooled our daughter were some of the happiest in our lives. I am retired now but my background is in English, history, and art history. I spent my career in advertising as an art director and copy writer. I also worked for two historic house museums in the assistant director capacity where I designed programs for education and fundrasing. There is no substitute for reading. And there are no shortcuts. But of course, the better you are at it and the more fascinating the subject matter, makes for an easier and more enjoyable life.

I operate using the Classical method of teaching so your elementary or middle school English/rhetoric/vocabulary lessons will be created specifically for you and correspond with your social studies, geography and history time frames. We will correspond by email and also do web based video conferences, but your lesson plans can also be found on a Facebook page which will serve as a filing cabinet or archive. I am flexible to your needs. We will focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary improvement, etymology and spelling.
