About Epiphany
Born in Hong Kong, raised in the UK, and recently settled in Australia, I’m excited to launch my music teaching journey here in Sydney.
Classically trained from the age of 3, I achieved Distinction in ABRSM Grade 8 across piano, cello, and singing before the age of 13.
As a former full music scholar at a prestigious UK independent school, I was honored as Musician of the Year by both the school and county. I served as cello section leader of multiple county orchestras, performed as soloist in concertos with professional orchestras, participated in leading choirs, and competed in over 100 music festivals and competitions, consistently winning top prizes.
My musical journey has been recognized in national newspapers and featured in interviews with the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation).
With over 10 years of dedicated teaching experience, I have successfully guided students from complete beginners to advanced levels. My approach focuses on building strong technique, achieving excellence in exams, and fostering genuine confidence, expressions and lifelong joy in music and performance.
I hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and am fully committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment for all students.

I offer private cello lessons at my home studio in Sydney, providing a calm, focused, and inspiring environment for real musical growth.
Drawing from my extensive performance background, including Distinction in ABRSM Grade 8 cello, leadership in orchestras, solo concerto appearances with professional orchestras, and BBC featured achievements, I teach beyond just notes and technique. My creative, performance-oriented approach helps students develop genuine expression, musical storytelling, stage presence, emotional depth, and personal artistry. This proves especially powerful for exam preparation, building recital and audition confidence, or supporting motivated adults rediscovering or discovering their passion for the cello.
Whether your child is aiming for exams and competitions, a teenager preparing for auditions, an adult beginner seeking steady and rewarding progress, or anyone wanting high-quality, personalised classical cello tuition, lessons are fully tailored, engaging, and centred on meaningful musical development.
