About Katerina
Hi I’m Katerina. I worked in educational environments in Arizona public schools as a paraprofessional for 9 years. I taught remedial reading and a variety of other subjects in K-6 classrooms. Now I homeschool my 3 kids in Mexico. I am certified in the Logic of English Program through their professional development teacher education programs.
My greatest joy in life is watching a student who had lost almost all hope in learning to read, finally have it click in a way that makes sense.
Also fun fact: Did you know most struggling readers actually have above average IQ’s? They’ve just never been taught in a way that makes sense.
Despite what we’ve been taught you can sound out 95% of English words. Let me teach your student how to read and write in a way that boosts their self esteem and helps them access their full potential.

I am certified in the Logic of English Program. I asses your student to find any gaps in skill, then fill them in and activate the parts of the brain needed to be strong in all areas of literacy.
The logic of English program and methods are multi sensory and fun on top of being based on the cutting edge research in literacy.
I also incorporate Trauma informed emotional regulation strategies to help students work through frustration and keep them out of fight or flight to help their brain stay open, ready to learn, and develop a growth mindset.
