About Stephen
Hi guys, I'm Stephen, former writer, theologian, and aspiring professor of philosophy. I've spent a lifetime pondering and playing great music. My family brought me up around all the classic jazz and folk music. With multiple instruments under my belt, I've always had a zest for learning music. No matter what age, or what I have going on in my life, I always find myself pivoting back to my musical roots. It's more than just a passion. To me, it's a lifestyle, why? Because I can't live without it. So, hopefully my candid bio catches your eye and you realize that you've struck gold with a musician equally as passionate about playing as teaching!

First things to discuss are how practice relates to learning. Every lesson will begin with a practice warm-up to familiarize yourself with the guitar. We will then cover specific topics each lesson, as I guide you along. I will coach you as we progress through discussion and a trial and error approach. Practice is key to understanding and fluency. I will then end every lesson with a new skill or technique to practice to keep the learning in motion. Anyone of any level can join my classes as they apply to all degrees.
