These lessons will be tailored to improve your online chess rating, and more targeted to beginner - intermediate level players. We'll be going over chess principals, openings, and tactics. I like to start every session with 10 minutes of puzzles to warm up, then I'll spectate a few ladder games, and finally we'll go over mistakes and ways to improve. These lessons will be very "meat and potatoes", find your game plan, hop in a few games, and refine that game plan.

Perfect! Sergio has been an outstanding chess tutor for my 11-year-old son. He has a remarkable ability to communicate at my son’s level—clear, engaging, and respectful—which makes each lesson both effective and enjoyable. What I appreciate most is how Sergio takes the time to truly listen and understand where my son is in his learning.
He doesn’t just go through the motions—he challenges my son with advanced techniques, always encouraging him to push a little further. It’s clear that Sergio wants his students to grow, and that motivation really comes through. As a result, my son feels inspired and looks forward to practicing every day. Sergio has truly sparked a deeper interest in the game, and I’m grateful for the positive impact he’s had. Highly recommended!- Teaching her son, Taj, is a ton of fun! He's very receptive, quick to learn, and is super interested in chess.Sergio's response :
