About Todd
I have been working in education and training for over 25 years, even when I worked for almost 20 years in the Ministry of the Attorney General. I have mentored school-aged and adult learners throughout my career. I have a degree in education from UBC, as well as an adult instructor certificate from the Justice Institute of BC.
I am also just a fun positive guy with a passion for theater, film, music, and illustration.
I feel learning should be fun, engaging, and most importantly tailored for different learning styles. It is a mistake to think that one-size-fits-all when it comes to learning. I am here to support YOU in meeting your learning and development goals whether it is essay writing, reading and comprehension, or resume and cover letter writing.

I start by determining the learning goals the student has and the learning styles they prefer and then adapting the learning accordingly.
A typical lesson will begin with a brief discussion followed by an overview of the activities, followed by hands-on learning through sharing and reviewing either scenario based learning or student's work.
I have developed lessons for students starting from elementary up to adult learning. I have also delivered learning virtually, in-person, and a hybrid of both. I have delivered instruction to 100+ audiences, on an individual basis, and everything in between.
I cannot speak for other tutors but I genuinely care about people and maintain a fun, positive, and encouraging tone in my delivery. My success is only if students succeed.
