About Ailie Yiming
Hi, I’m Ailie (Yiming). I graduated from NUS and have 10 years of experience across banking and AI products, with experience leading product and AI teams from idea stage through launch and growth.
I believe AI is becoming a fundamental skill, similar to Math, Physics and English. My goal is not simply to teach students how to use AI tools, but to help them understand how to think, learn, and solve problems effectively with AI.
I focus on practical learning through real examples and hands-on exercises. Students will learn how to use AI responsibly for studying, research, productivity, creativity, and future career development. I also emphasize critical thinking so students learn how to evaluate information instead of relying on AI blindly.
I create a supportive and structured learning environment where students can ask questions comfortably and learn at their own pace. Whether you are completely new to AI or want to develop more advanced skills, lessons will be adapted to your goals and experience level.
The world is changing quickly, and understanding AI early can become a significant advantage. I look forward to helping students build useful skills that extend beyond the classroom.

My teaching approach is practical, personalized, and outcome-driven. AI changes quickly, so I focus less on memorizing tools and more on helping students develop adaptable skills that remain useful as technology evolves.
Teaching techniques and methodology
-Learn by doing: students work on real tasks and mini-projects rather than only theory
-Progressive learning: start with fundamentals, then move toward more advanced applications
-Personalized curriculum: lessons are adjusted based on the student’s age, goals, and current knowledge level
-Problem-solving mindset: I teach students how to think critically and use AI effectively instead of becoming dependent on it
-Hands-on AI usage: students learn prompting, research techniques, productivity workflows, content creation, and practical AI applications
Examples include:
-Students: using AI for studying, writing, revision, and project work
-Beginners: understanding AI tools and building confidence
-More advanced learners: creating workflows, AI-assisted projects, and learning future workplace skills
Typical lesson length
-Standard lesson: 60 minutes
-Extended project-based lesson: 90–120 minutes

Qualifications and experience
I graduated from NUS and have 10 years of experience across banking and AI. I have led teams building AI-native products from idea to launch. I have worked on products serving both businesses and consumers, and have guided teams in adopting AI tools effectively in real-world environments.
My experience allows me to teach not only “how to use AI tools,” but also how AI is changing industries and future career opportunities.
