About Toufi

Hi, I'm Toufi, an FA/UEFA-qualified football coach based in London. I work with players of every age and ability, from complete beginners and kids taking their first touches, to adults returning to the game and competitive players chasing the next level. Whatever your starting point, you're welcome here.

My sessions are friendly, supportive, and built entirely around you. We'll work on the things that make the biggest difference on the pitch: confidence on the ball, awareness and decision-making, control under pressure, and simply enjoying your football more. Every session is tailored to your goals, and we'll go at a pace that feels right for you.

Alongside coaching, I have a background in player development and PFSA scouting, and I draw on sports-science tools when they're helpful. My experience spans grassroots, university, and women's football, and I currently train within the England National Football pathway at St George's Park. But above all, my focus is making sure you feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely improving.

Whether you want a one-off session or ongoing coaching, get in touch and let's chat about how I can help you reach your goals.

  • 1) What age did you start playing sports?

I started playing football at a young age, but I wasn’t one of the naturally gifted players.

That pushed me to focus more on understanding the game - how players improve, how decisions are made, and why some players develop faster than others.

That early struggle is what shaped me into a coach rather than just a player.
  • 2) Favourite sports?

Football is my main focus, especially from a coaching and development perspective.

I also have an interest in tennis because it develops coordination, movement, and discipline, which are transferable to football.

I’m also interested in futsal, as it improves decision-making and control in tight spaces - something many players lack.
  • 3) What gives you motivation?

My motivation comes from helping players improve in areas they struggle with.

A lot of grassroots players don’t lack effort - they lack proper guidance.

Seeing a player gain confidence and start making better decisions on the pitch is what drives me.
  • 4) Sporting achievement you're proud of?

I am proud to be part of the England Football learning pathway and to be developing my coaching through my UEFA qualification at St George's Park National Football Centre.

That environment exposed me to how football is developed at a national level, which directly shapes how I design and deliver my sessions.

Alongside this, I hold leadership and coaching roles within university and community football. I am involved with King's College F.C., contributing to football development, and I coach within women’s football environments, including grassroots programmes in Islington Borough Ladies FC (Arsenal in the community).

I also deliver youth coaching in West London, working with players aged 4–9, focusing on technical development and confidence building at an early stage.

In addition, I regularly support community football initiatives in Tower Hamlets, aiming to increase participation and accessibility in the local area.

These combined experiences - across national, university, and grassroots levels - are what I consider my most important achievement, as they reflect both my development as a coach and my impact on players at different stages.
  • 5) How have challenges improved you?

Not being a top-level player forced me to study the game more deeply.

I had to understand development, not rely on natural ability.

Now, I coach with clarity - breaking things down in a way players can actually understand and apply in matches.
  • 6) Jog with a famous athlete?

    I would choose Herbert Chapman.

He had an engineering mindset and fundamentally changed football through structure, tactics, and innovation.

As someone with an engineering background myself, I relate to that way of thinking - analysing problems, designing solutions, and improving performance through structure rather than relying on talent alone.

I would ask him how he approached innovation in football at a time when the game was less developed, and how he convinced players to trust new ideas and systems.

That ability to combine vision with practical coaching is something I aim to apply in my own work.
  • 7) How do you help people stay motivated?

I focus on progress, not just training.

When players see small improvements - better control, quicker decisions, more confidence - they naturally stay motivated.

I also keep sessions engaging and realistic, so players enjoy the process while improving.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof?

I don’t rely on my playing career - I rely on my ability to develop players.

My coaching is structured, analytical, and focused on solving real problems like:

    low confidence
    poor decision-making
    lack of awareness
I combine modern coaching methods with experience from the England Football environment to help players improve faster and more effectively.
