About Jiyeon
Hi! I'm Jiyeon, originally from Korea and currently based in Australia.
I studied Elementary Education at university and have experience in tutoring, teaching, and working with students of different ages. I especially enjoy teaching children and helping them stay engaged, focused, and confident in their learning.
I also have a strong interest in language learning. As someone who taught herself English, I understand both the challenges and the rewards of learning a new language. Through my own experience, I've learned that language learning should be practical, natural, and focused on real communication, with plenty of opportunities for practice and review.
With these experiences and insights, I'd like to help people improve their Korean skills and communicate naturally and confidently in Korean!

I believe language learning is primarily about communication. It's not just about studying textbooks or memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules. Real conversations help learners absorb natural expressions and become more comfortable using the language. In my lessons, I aim to create plenty of opportunities for students to use Korean through meaningful conversations and interactive activities. I like to introduce a variety of topics that match each student's interests and teach expressions that native Korean speakers actually use in everyday situations. For younger learners, I also prepare quizzes, games, and other engaging activities to keep lessons fun and immersive. After each lesson, I provide useful expressions and vocabulary that we used during class, along with regular review activities to help students retain and actively use what they have learned.
