About Leewinchell
On the Track: I am an elite varsity hurdler and a 2x U SPORTS finalist. Track and field has been my life for years, and that "hurdler's mindset"—the ability to stay focused and clear obstacles—is exactly how I approach teaching. I bring that same energy and discipline to my students' success.
In my Headphones: I love listening to R&B music.
On the Court: I’m a big believer in "movement as medicine." When I’m off the track, I stay active through intramural volleyball, squash, and tennis. I love the social energy of team sports, and it keeps me grounded and energized for my students.

I offer a results-driven approach that blends native-level fluency with professional teaching standards. As a B.Ed. candidate and certified DELF B2 Examiner, I don't just teach French—I coach you to master it.
My Methodology
Action-Oriented: We focus on real-world tasks (debating, professional writing) to build functional fluency.
The DELF Edge: I use my examiner training to provide mock exams and specific strategies to ace international certifications.
Customized Scaffolding: I adapt every lesson to your specific learning style (UDL) and academic goals.
A Typical 60-Minute Session
Warm-up: Oral "mise en train" to activate your French brain.
Target Skill: Focused instruction on a specific grammar or exam challenge.
Guided Practice: Collaborative analysis or co-construction of a response.
Application: Independent timed task or oral simulation.
What Sets Me Apart
I bring the discipline of an elite varsity athlete to my teaching. My sessions are high-energy and goal-oriented. I know exactly how to bridge the gap between "school French" and genuine bilingualism.
Who I Teach
French Immersion/Core Students: Boosting grades and oral confidence.
DELF Candidates (A1-B2): Specialized prep with an official examiner.
