About Alexandra
Hi! I'm a first-year Philosophy student at Durham University with a strong academic background in English Literature, French and Russian.
I have experience supporting younger students with their studies from GCSE to A level, helping them build their confidence and skill in preparation for exams. Having recently completed my own A levels, I understand the pressures of school exams and can explain topics in a clear approachable way.
My lessons are tailored to the individual student, depending on their needs, we might work through difficult topics, practice exam questions, improve essays, develop vocabulary or simply build confidence in speaking and writing.
My aim is to make lessons engaging rather than intimidating, by creating a supportive and friendly environment.

Lessons can be for anyone - no matter the age, however there is a strong focus on A level and GCSE preparation; essay writing, listening and conversational skills.
My approach is always attentive to the student's specific needs, making sure that we are most productive with the time we have. 90% of it will be held in Russian, as it is important to try immerse the student in the language immediately.
As a recent graduated high school student, I am very familiar with the curriculum, and expectations of how to achieve good grades
