About Carmen
I am a state‑certified English as a New Language teacher currently working in a public elementary school, and I bring that same dedication and expertise to my Italian tutoring. Italian is my second language, and over the years it has become a true passion—one that extends far beyond grammar and vocabulary. I love exploring every aspect of Italian culture, from its history and traditions to its music, food, and everyday expressions.
My goal as a tutor is to make Italian accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful for learners of all ages. I always incorporate opportunities for authentic communication so students can apply what they learn immediately and meaningfully.
My approach works well for a wide range of learners—from adult beginners seeking conversational fluency to children discovering Italian as a second language. I prioritize clarity, patience, and cultural connection, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and celebrating progress.
