About Mary
Dia daoibh! My name is Mary and I’m a recent Trinity College Dublin graduate in Earth System Science and a fluent Irish speaker. I’ve always had a strong interest in the Irish language and understand how challenging it can feel for students when preparing for exams.
I enjoy helping others feel more confident in subjects they may struggle with, and I’m passionate about making learning feel less stressful and more approachable. My background in Grade 10 Speech and Drama has also helped me develop strong communication skills, particularly for oral exam preparation.
I’m patient, friendly and organized, and I aim to create a supportive environment where students can build confidence and improve at their own pace

Dia daoibh! I’m a recent Trinity College Dublin graduate and fluent Irish speaker offering grinds for Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert students. My lessons are tailored to each student depending on whether they need help with oral preparation, essays, grammar, poetry/prose revision, listening comprehension or general confidence in speaking Irish.
I set the rate at 9€/ hour for the first couple lessons so we can get to know eachother and then if it’s a good fit we can discuss an appropriate price
I know Irish can feel intimidating for many students, so I focus on making lessons supportive, structured and relaxed. I break down difficult topics clearly and help students build confidence step by step.
I also completed Grade 10 Speech and Drama, which has helped me develop strong communication skills and confidence when teaching oral exam preparation. Lessons are available online or in Dublin, and typically last 1 hour.

Mary is an excellent tutor, and she certainly knows her stuff! I highly recommend her, she is particularly good at breaking down complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand!
I studied at Trinity College Dublin with Mary. She proved to be a resilient student. She is also patient and pleasant to work with.
I'm a history of art and architecture student but needed to know about concrete and cement (history & science) to study for Schols. Despite how niche the topic was, Mary was very knowledgeable and broke it down succinctly and deftly. I highly recommend!
