About Kevin
Hey there, my name is Kevin Figueroa and I am a Musical Theatre and Screen Actor based in Orlando, Florida. I found myself pursuing theatre in all of its aspects including tech, dance, acting and music in high school. After learning and studying these disciplines at studios and nearby regional theatres, I went on to begin my higher level studies at Florida School of the Arts with an Associate's degree in Musical Theatre. While pursuing my degree, I studied voice, speech, vocal anatomy, and a variety of vocal methods. I also studied various forms of dance, movement and acting with expert performers and educators in their fields. I wanted to learn more, so I attended Florida State University to receive my BA in Theatre Performance. There I studied with the faculty at the prestigious FSU College of Music and School of Theatre. Now that I have graduated, I plan to continue pursuing work in the entertainment industry while continuing to take class from professionals for my own enrichment and knowledge. I would love to share everything I have learned on my journey with you to help you as you grow in your art and your person.

As a recent graduate from the School of Theatre at Florida State University, I want to share some of the knowledge I learned through the institutions I went through. My lessons are for everyone! I offer a flexible approach that caters to each student. All my students learn the fundamentals of singing, speaking alignment and breathing that gives them the foundational skills to explore and develop their voices outside of the lessons. A typical lesson with me will be 25 minutes of warm-ups, technique and foundational work. The rest of the time will be focused on whatever the student needs. Be it coaching for an audition, working through repertoire or even just singing just to sing, I will always be ready to guide us to the next step. What sets me apart is my unique experience with voice lessons. I did not always have access to lessons or music education until my 1st collegiate level institution where I was able to learn elementary to advanced concepts at a mature level. I am excited to teach those same concepts to students while catering to those of all different walks of life. My goal is to make learning accessible in its vocabulary and experience to all!
