About Kathryn
I am an Under-graduate student currently in 3rd year studying International Fashion Branding and Business at university. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring as it gives me the opportunity to show students of the enjoyment of music. As a flautist, beginning the flute was one of the best decisions I made, as playing the flute is such a fulfilling activity and hobby, and I would love to teach and develop others skills so they can have the same experience.

About the lesson

When teaching, I will combine a constructive and reflective approach. I will focus on scales, pieces, and also incorporate theory practice changing from student to student. Students will be expected to take what they have learnt from each class and develop it for the next session. The length of a lesson will vary from 45 minutes to 1 hour and a half depending on the students own preference. I have previously had tutoring experience, through in person sessions, where I have taught children between the age of 8-14. For myself, I have been playing for 12 years and played till grade 6 before deciding to personally focus on my university studies. My lessons are for all ages, whether beginners or grades 1-5.
