About Emily
I have not tutored before so am looking for a new student.
I am a first year university psychology student who is dyslexic and yet got 4 A's and 5 B's in my GCSE's and raised my A Level results from CDU to BBB (Maths, Biology and Food Technology) in just one year. I also achieved an A in EPQ which is a 5,000 word essay and presentation based on an independent research project. I may not be a qualified tutor but i have experience in being a dyslexic and find the right support for particular students. I was given a lot of different advice but in the end it was my method that brought me this level of improvement.

For a dyslexic I will start by a bit of background information and hobbies from the child themselves in order to tailor the best way to approach their difficulties.
For my maths related help i will also try to find different ways that suit a child's particular hobbies in order to help them remember the topics. I will start with a basic recap of knowledge even if the child mostly understands the topic. Next i would find a relevant question and see how they handle it and whether their timing or their understanding is the issue.
