About Samuel
Hello! My name is Samuel, and I am a First Year Mathematics student at the University of Bristol. Having only just finished sixth form in the summer of 2025, I am very aware of the pressures of life at school and would be absolutely delighted to help you or your child if you feel like you/they are struggling in your/their maths course. I have great enthusiasm for maths and I love thinking about it and talking about it in different ways to improve students' understanding.

Without question, the best way of learning mathematics is by doing it. That's why my lessons are focused around answering questions, guiding my students through them until they can fly through them for themselves! Through answering questions, the student and I can discover which concepts the student is struggling with, and we can then recap those concepts, applying them straight away to questions at the right level for the student. As a recent IB graduate (May '25), I achieved a maximum Level 7 in HL Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (A&A) meaning I have recent and fresh experience of tackling this challenging course, and I would love to help others not only to succeed, but also to fall in love with Mathematics. My lessons can range between one and two hours, and I am happy to tutor IB Maths (AA/AI and SL/HL) as well as GCSE and iGCSE to any student from the ages of 14-18 (UK school years 9-13).
