About William

I am Will Christmas, a university graduate who loves learning. GCSEs and A-Levels are daunting, but they can passed with flying colours. I understand what it is like to fail, but the best thing about failure is the drive it creates for you to pass. Understand and Practice is what is needed and I can help you with that. I consider myself an open and friendly individual who is looking forward to (hopefully) tutoring you.

About the lesson

I like to take a pupil driven approach. I want to understand where your focus wants and needs to be and once I have done that, I am able to see from a broader context of how else to help with the course.

I also like to make the lessons fun and interactive, and I also want to see how the pupil approaches topics/questions themselves. Kahoots are also an important part of the lessons!

The key for improved learning is understanding - so that is primary focus for my lessons.

I like to open lessons with 5 minutes of talking about anything else but learning. Having a 5 minute open conversation about the pupils day, I find, allows them to feel listened to and ready for learning. Conversely, I end lessons with a 5 minute debrief, reviewing how the lesson went to see how I can improve.

I consider myself an inclusive person - so respect and acceptance underpin all my lessons.
